Raw banana and Moong dal Vada


Ingredients:

Raw banana - 1 medium
Moong dal - 1 cup
saunf / Fennel seeds - 1/4 tbsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Green chillies - 4 medium
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Rice flour - 2 tbsp
Salt - as Required
Hing - 1/4 tbsp
Dill leaves - 1/2 cup chopped (Optional)
Onion - 1/2 cup chopped
Mint and coriander / cilantro - 1/4 cup (Finely chopped)
Oil - for frying

Method:

1) Cook raw banana with some turmeric
2) Soak moong dal for 4-5 hours
3) Add soaked moong dal, cooked raw banana, salt, green chillies, hing, ginger to mixer and grind coarse
4) Mix Saunf and onion to the grinded mixture. 
5) Make small balls and then press each ball flat enough.
6) Fry these flattened mixture until golden brown.

Raw banana and Moong dal Vada is ready to be served. This can be served with Coconut chutney as well or can be served alone too.

Note:

1) Dill leaves can be substituted with mint and coriander leaves.
2) Green chillies can be substituted with Red chilly powder .
3) Onion can be avoided if you don't eat.
4) You can also use warm water to soak the Moong dal for 30 mins, instead of waiting for  4 hours.




Pav bhaji


Ingredients:

For bhaji:

Butter - 2 tbsp
Tomato - 3 medium
Peas - 1/4 cup
Capsicum - 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
Potato - 2 medium (Boiled and mashed)
Salt - As Required
Red chili powder - 1/4 tbsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tbsp
Pav bhaji masala - 1.5 tbsp 
Kasuri methi / dry fenugreek leaves - 1tsp
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup (Finely chopped)
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 1 medium
Lemon juice - 1/4 tbsp
Water - To Adjust consistency

For Pav:

pav bread 
Butter - 4 Tsp 
Red chili powder - 1/4 tbsp
Pav bhaji masala - 1/4 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 4 tbsp (finely chopped)

Method:

1) In a pan, heat 1 tbsp butter and add vegetables. cook well with water until mashing consistency.
2) Mash well and add Chilli powder, turmeric, pav bhaji masala, kasuri methi, and coriander leaves.
3) In a tawa, heat a tbsp of butter and add ¼ tsp chili powder, ½ tsp pav bhaji masala, 1 tsp kasuri methi.
also add 1 tbsp coriander leaves, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1 onion, and ½ lemon juice. saute well.
now add 3 drops of red food color and mix well.
boil and mash for 5 minutes adjusting consistency.
finally, serve pav and bhaji as pav bhaji

Filter Coffee with out Filter


Ingredients:

Coffee powder - 1/2 tbsp
Water - 2 or 3 tbsp
Sugar - 1 1/2 tbsp
Milk - 1 glass

Method:

1) In a glass/cup, add Coffee powder and boiling water and mix well until dissolved.
2) Boil milk, sugar and add to the water and coffee mixture and mix well until lather.


Tasty Filter coffee is ready to be served with your favorite snack.



Tomato pulav


Ingredients:

Ghee / clarified butter - 1 tbsp 
Bay leaf  - 1
Cloves - 5
Star anise - 1
Cinnamon stick - 1 inch 
Whole cashews halved - 10
Onion thinly sliced  - 1 medium 
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Tomato - 2 medium 
Green chili - 1
Carrot - 1
Peas - 1/4 cup
Potato - 1 small
Beans - 1/4 cup chopped
Red chili powder - 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tbsp
Salt - As required
Coriander leaves finely chopped - 2 tbsp
Pudina/mint finely chopped - 2 tbsp 
Basmati rice - 1 cup (Soaked 20 minutes)
Water - 1 1/2 cup

Method:

1) In a pan, heat ghee and saute spices, cashews add onions and fry.
2) Now add ginger garlic paste and chili. ?Fry well until its completely done.
3) Now add finely chopped tomatoes and fry for 2 mins.
4) Add mixed vegetables of your choice and fry for another 2 mins.
5) Now add red chili powder, turmeric, salt, coriander leaves and mint. Mix well and fry for 2 mins.
6) Wash and soak basmati rice for 20 minutes.
7) Add the rice to the masala. Now add water and mix well.
8) Cook until rice is well cooked.

Tomato Pulav is ready to be served with Raita.
